NYS Department of Education on Home Instruction
This is the New York State Department of Education's resource page for parents and guardians interested in home instruction (homeschooling) for their child. It includes the regulations, a question and answer page with common concerns, and information about special education with regards to home instruction. 

NYS Department of Education Curriculum Standards
This provides information on the New York State educational curriculum by subject area.

Learning Liftoff is a website with tons of articles and information about homeschooling. This article gives an introduction to the ins and outs of teaching your child at home.

Parents.com provides a nice broad overview on what homeschooling is and some of the positive aspects about homeschooling for families.

Homeschool.com is a community of fellow homeschoolers who have put together a large collection of articles and resources for homeschooling at all age levels.

Khan Academy
Khan Academy provides free online coursework in a variety of areas: pre-k through college-level math courses, science, arts and humanities, computer programming, economics, life skills and preparation materials for a number of standardized tests, including the PSAT and SAT. They provide video lessons on different concepts as well as quizzes and tests to measure understanding on concepts. 

New York State Museum Portal to Online Education and Activities
The NYS Museum has provided virtual field trips, activities, coloring pages, and more that relates to their collections, with material for all ages covering art, science, history and more. 

National Geographic's Explorer Classroom
Watch livestreamed and recorded events that connect you with National Geographic explorers around the world.

Smithsonian Learning Lab
A great resource of high-resolution images, text, videos, audio and more from the collections of the 19 museums, galleries and research centers. View pre-made collections or put together your own!

Storyline Online
A collection of storybook read-alouds, as performed by famous faces!

Chrome Music Lab
Free web-based tools for learning about music, including the ability to make your own songs.

OER Project
The OER (Open Educational Resources) has two free history courses online - one aimed at middle to high school students, and one aimed at advanced high school/AP level students.

GoNoodle
GoNoodle has lots of fun games and activities designed to get kids up and moving! Good for brain breaks, physical education, or just getting the wiggles out.

BedtimeMath
Quick, math-based activities to help kids use math skills in real-world examples. 

Code.org
Practice and learn computer science skills at any age level.

826digital.com
826digital is a site designed to help inspire students in grades 1-12 to write creatively with lessons and writing prompts.

Starfall
Starfall offers free activities for Pre-K through 3rd grade, both on their website as well as in printable form.

CK12
CK12 offers a number of interactive courses at different age levels, particularly in math and science.

DiscoveryK12
Free homeschool curriculum and lessons for students K-12. An optional, paid parent account gives additional features like grade tracking and additional assessment options.

Teachers Pay Teachers
While there are many resources that cost money on here, there are also many FREE resources -- including printable signs, clipart, worksheets and more.
